  Salkantay Trek to Machupicchu 5D/4N

Day 1 – Cusco – Mollepata – Soraipampa; Approximately 15km/Descending (7 hours)
We set out on the road from Cusco to Mollepata, starting the trek with the help of porters and mules, and slowly climb until we reach the remarkable highlands surrounding the Soraipampa community. After the first ascent, we will make camp, eat dinner, and spend the night.

Day 2 – Soraipampa Chaullay: Colcapampa (3300 m.) Aproximately 15km/Ascending and Descending (8 hours)
Climb Mount Salkantay to Wayraqpunku Pass (4578 m.).

During the day, we behold the spectacular views of Mount Salkantay (6264 m.) and Mount Tucurhuay (5910 m.). This is the most difficult part of the trek, yet once accomplished, we will have acclimated ourselves and established the appropriate rhythm for the journey.
From the pass, we descend to the Colcapampa camp with its welcoming hot springs, providing much needed relaxation for tired and aching bodies after the long day's trek. We eat dinner in the camp and sleep in tents.

Day 3 – Colcapampa (3300 m.) – Playa (2200 m.); Approximately 16 km/Descending (09 hours)
This day's trail descends continuously towards the village of Playa and offers us vistas of indescribable beauty since the entire route cuts through a Cloud Forest. We arrive at Playa in the afternoon, eat dinner in the camp and sleep in tents.

Day 4 Playa – Santa Teresa – Aguas Calientes; Approximately 09 km/Descending (2.5 hours)
We take to the trail again in the morning for the 09 kilometers that separate the two villages. We stop at the hydroelectric plant and by the afternoon we are on the train speeding towards Aguas Calientes (30 minute ride).

We eat a lunch in camp and in the late afternoon or evening, we stop at the Hot Springs to rest and relax Dinner and accommodations are in your selected hotel /hostel.

Day 5 – Machupicchu – Cusco; Approximately 17 km/Descending
By morning, we are ready for the trip to the Sanctuary. We take a round trip bus ride from Aguas Calientes to Machupicchu returning for lunch. In the afternoon, we board the train to Ollantaytambo, where our car will be waiting to take us the rest of the way to Cusco, arriving there at night.
